Once in a while... a Custom Digital

I am an Edge to Edge Longarm Quilter exclusively.... but you know the phrase "never say never"?? Well, it applies to this quilt by Sharon. Her lovely Laundry Basket Sampler quilt was dropped off we had decided on the E2E Pantograph and then I just kept looking at it - it was pretty and needed that little extra touch.

I called her a couple days later and asked her if she would trust me to do "digital custom" on her quilt. I explained what that meant - I do-not-do free hand "tread painting"(I admire those lovely people that have such a talent!) - all the patterns would be done with my Gammill Statler using digital patterns that I manipulate to fit each section. (I do this for myself occasionally but as a rule not for clients) She said YES!

This quilt had these beautiful 3-dimensional stars that just popped after quilting.

All-in-all I used 6 different Digital Patterns to complete her quilt, it took me 3 days, I had so much fun doing it, and Sharon was over the moon with the results. Every once in a while, I stretch my wings and build confidence in this area of my quilting. I still love my E2E, but sometimes something special comes along- Thank you Sharon for letting my "play" with quilt!

Until Next Time ...

Keep Sewing
