Cuddle, Minky, Woobie, love it or hate it?

Whatever you may call Cuddle backing its gives a softness and drap to your quilt like no other prouduct.

Shannon Cuddle is one of the more popular brands, but there are many similar products out there. Its soft, smooth feel is a perfect backing for a baby quilt or for someone who loves that extra cozy feeling.

It gives weight to your quilt top as well, when paired with Deluxe batting it could rivel a weighted blanket! Once quilted it gives a lovely embossed look to your backing.

When I first started my Longarm Business I figured out how to work with Cuddle, it has a stretch to it, in each direction, so you have to be careful which way to load it and how tight to make it. Once I had that sorted it was easy street! Always check with your longarmer to see if they work with Cuddle/Minky it is not a straight forward backing like cotton.
